I entered in my zip code, 22182, which is the Washington metropolitan area, and it says No Theaters Found. What do I do? Why did I pay for a service that can't be used? And there's no phone number to call for help??

I'm having the same issues...no theaters are showing.  This is crazy.  I signed up last week and haven't been able to see if there are theaters in my area.  Now, I get an email saying eticket can be used while I wait for my card to arrive in the mail.  Haven't been able to do that, either.  Can't use eticket if I can't find the theaters!

The app is garbage and not working. MoviePass needs to get its shit together. Here's a 3rd party site that shows locations. https://www.moviepasslocations.com/

So, AMC is no longer taking MasterCards, and all the theaters nearby me are AMC... Is there a workaround for this, or should I just cancel my subscription?

Updated - The map on the website works, but it can take it up to a couple of minutes to load the locations. It doesn't look like its loading, but give it time and they show up.

The web site is useless. I have tried 2 major cities zip codes and there are no theaters listed either I'll wait to get my card, which I just got an e mail that  said I wouldn't get it until September 10th. Amazing they were quick to charge my card . My plan is to call my credit card company deny the charges and have them block any further charges. That's why I love AMEX!

Here is a link to the main page to check movie locations. Scroll to the bottom and enter your zip code. I'm having the same frustrations though because none of these show up when I search on my app. I'm taking screenshots in case I need to cancel the subscription! https://www.moviepass.com/register/account

Just update the zip code in the map and wait for few minutes (for me i got in 2mins). It is slow but working.

Rajesh, excellent tip, I waited and eventually the map (on the web) did load up locations.

This appears to be a new company, the technology issues are to be expected, they will likely be moving quickly to fix them. Anyone disputing charges and all that, I'd say just wait it out a bit - they got slammed by a surge of business they probably should have expected but didn't. You can dispute a charge that's up to 3 months old so just wait it out and see, it's likely to be fine.

Go to the MoviePass website on your mobile device (it only works for me on my mobile device) and enter your zipcode (it should be towards the bottom of the homepage) and it should load a list of theatres in your area as soon as you enter it. Hope this helps!

I've been searching zip codes in Orlando, Florida area. So far I lucked on finding two theatres accepting MoviePass only about 90 miles away in the Tampa area. The website's sample showing multiple theatres in NYC is pretty useless as every time I try a local zip code it zooms out to the entire globe and doesn't show any red marks for theatres anywhere. I can find no way to zoom down back to the USA etc. It just expands back to globe view only.

You know what would be more useful than the map and app that don't work?  A text-based list of theaters organized by state.

Why would I sign up if your theater search is still broken?  LOL at how many people thought this FAQ was helpful ... go figure.

I just went to an AMC theater and they said MoviePass will not work at their theaters. My MoviePass card was declined. This happened on 9/3/17 about 1:20 pm. I went into the app for support and still no response. It is 2:07 pm. The funny thing is that the movie theater showed up in the app. Oh and MoviePass charged my credit card on 8/19/17 and I didn't get my MoviePass card until 9/1/17. So basically 2 weeks I couldn't use their service yet my card was billed. I'll be cancelling this and disputing the charge.

Received my card yesterday.  Went to a movie in the Memphis area a Hollywood Cinema, purchased the ticket at the Kiosk.  Today I went to a Malco Cinema and purchased my ticket at the window.  So far it's working for me.

But with so many people having problems, makes me a little worried.

    Are they an AMC theater?

I tried several times to get mine to work... It wouldn't. I tried to reach out to customer support and almost 6?hours and no response so now I can't see a movie today and it may not let me see the movie I tried to earlier. I'm not very happy and I just started with this service. I've already cancelled my membership.

Received my card 3 days ago. Have already used it 3 times so far. Twice at a Cinemark and once at an Angelica theater. Works like a charm....no problems.

Does Movie pass really have Customer service division ???, pathetic service. I have gone numerous times to theaters , app wont work. They have started my subscription from August 28th and next billing date is Sep 27. It's really disappointing and no body to blame other than myself to fall into this scam.

Over the past week I've seen five movies at two separate theaters.  Does anyone know if MoviePass allows us to see the same movie more than once?  I read somewhere that they used to have a stipulation that prevented subscribers from doing that, but have now made that rule obsolete.  Anyone know?

Mgbishop - My local theater is an AMC and I've had no trouble purchasing tickets.  Are you checking-in at your AMC?  Also, are you sure that your card has been activated? When I checked-in for my first movie I had to enter the last four digits of my MoviePass card and my zip code.  Once I did that, I was good to go.

Yes it's activated. I've seen 2 movies at Regal. The AMC tried several times and then another employee came over and said it doesn't work because that AMC doesn't take them. He said a few AMC theaters still do take moviepass but they are in bigger Markets like Boston or something like that. The chat/support tab in the app is useless. I've sent several emails to which none have been answered. I figured I would go back one more time to AMC to see if that employee just did something wrong. It's definitely worth it if you see a lot of movies and the app works for you...... But their customer service is AWFUL

@Mgbishop - Sorry you're having such a hard time at your AMC.  I live in Kansas City and haven't encountered any such problems.  In fact, I just saw Logan Lucky last night at my AMC without any issues.  Right now AMC has no legal footing to prohibit the MasterCard debit card from being used at their theaters.  Next time you go to the box office, just hand the employee the card and don't mention anything about MoviePass.  If an employee at the box office is giving you the runaround, just use it at the kiosk.  That's what I did last night.

I said the same thing to him about the MC credit card. Then he pointed out on the card that says valid only at moviepass theaters. I wish the AMC had a kiosk. I wanted to see Baby Driver. I'm going to try again. I went over to Regal and saw Logan Lucky.

@Mgbishop That is weird.  The MoviePass debit card works just like any other debit card.  If you're checking-in at the right theater and purchasing the ticket within the time limit, then I can't understand why it's not working.  If the theater and it's showtimes are represented within the MoviePass app, then I can't fathom why it wouldn't work.

@Mgbishop and @dgekstrom when you got your card did you have to activate it or did it just come ready to use. My app showsnit was shipped but it doesnt give a date or anything.

@Lindsey Yes you will need to activate the card.  When you check-in for your first movie, it will ask you to put in the last four digits of the card and your zip code.  Once you've done that you'll be good to go.
