In my app, local theaters are still not loading. According to the website, I have many theaters in my area. Why am I unable to see my local theaters? I'd like to know if any of them do e-tickets.

I had the same issue. To resolve I went to movies instead of theaters and selected a random movie, then it showed me showtimes and I clicked one. Afterwards it gave me the option to select a theater from the ones in my area then showed check-in. Now when I go to theaters they all show up.

Note: my card number has been assigned though it has not arrived in the mail yet.

How did you get your card number?

I just checked the menu under movie pass cards and there's a card number and an expiration date. I signed up last week and the card has not yet arrived.

So this means that e ticketing is not available at all outside of Boston and Denver? Can't find anything about it on the app (@LA), is there an easy way of checking? How can I start using it before my card arrives if it keeps asking me for the last digits of it?

eticketing is not available in LA.  Seems like it should be the #1 market for it, but not a single theatre.

4 days ago, a Moviepass subscriber wrote this when some asked, "how did you get the last 4 digits of your card before the card physically arrived?" His reply was, "I just checked the menu under moviepass cards and there's a card number and an expiration date. I signed up last week and the card has not yet arrived." I logged into my app and the only place Moviepass card displays in the menu is if I first click on Profile and then Moviepass Card. The only thing that displayst hen is, "No reviews available." Am I doing something wrong? Is his information wrong or, have you changed the menu in the past few days?" I'd love to use my Moviepass subscription before my card arrives in the U.S. Mail. Any advice would be great.

    Hey Hal K,

I also see the last 4 digits of my MoviePass card, and an expiration date when I open the non-beta version

of the app and then select Profile and then "MoviePass Card"

My MoviePass card is due to arrive between September 6th and 10th according to the email they sent me.

Edit: Also when I select a theater, a movie, and a showtime it does say "You do not have an active card" and asks for the last 4 digits of the card.
I suppose I could type in the last 4 digits.. since I already have them.. but I don't wanna mess anything up so I'm not going to.

    Hope this info helps.

Same for me as Alex stated - I can go to the app on my phone, click on the hamburger 3 line in upper left of screen, go to profile, then moviepass card. I click on that, and it shows me the last 4 of my card, and a expiration date. Note however I do not have my card yet either, and received the same email Alex mentioned. I as well have been hesitant to try without the card. Also, if I click on Theaters, I do have a list that shows up. I assume that means these are e-ticket compatible theaters. But I have not tried it yet. Might tomorrow.

There are very very few E-Ticket partner theaters, and if they were E-Ticket theaters, you would see a red ticket icon near the name of the theater.

In the Boston area, AMC theaters are participating. And a couple of other brands I haven't heard of. But not many.

So @Alex - when I bring my list of theaters up, in upper left it shows a red ticket icon, on the right a red reserved seating icon. The list of theaters below has a red pin under each location. Is this where I would see the red e-ticket symbol next to the theater name, or do you have to click on the theater itself? When I do that I don's see any red e-ticket symbol.

Since AMC was the major contributor for eticketing, that feature appears to no longer be an option at this time: http://m.ign.com/articles/2017/08/25/amc-theatres-reportedly-blocking-moviepass-e-ticket-use-in-boston-denver

I find it odd. All theaters here in Los Angeles have reserved seating. How is a move pass user intended to get a seat by showing up just before a movie. They will all be gone.

This service may be good in other markets where reserved seating is not standard, But here in Los Angeles it's not worth it until movie pass has e-tickets everywhere.

Like why is AMC in Boston and Denver supported but not here?

I see a lot of people dropping the service. what a shame.

So this means no theater in Miami offers e-ticketing and we have to wait three months to get the card? Basically we cannot use movie pass is what movie pass is telling Miami?

Don't feel bad. I'm in southern California where will all know everyone is trying to recover from too much sunshine.

I've been waiting since August and no card, no e-ticket theaters.

I can rarely get a support response but the last time I did was a week ago and all I got was very soon.
