This sounds like an issue with your phone’s GPS. The troubleshooting solutions below should help.
Android users: Be sure that your GPS is enabled at all times. If you only turn it on when going to the movies, it will take some time to warm up.
iPhone users: Under "Privacy" in your phone's settings, be sure that your location services are enabled. Then, scroll down to ensure that they are enabled for the MoviePass app specifically.
Always, select "Yes" or "OK" if the app asks you to allow MoviePass to access your location. You’ll also want to be sure that you are using your phone’s data plan as opposed to Wi-Fi, which can give an incorrect location reading.
