Is the service a year long commitment? Are there early termination fees?

    How to know this MoviePass is not a scam, since I did sign up I can not login and MoviePass has charged my bank credit card and their support team is not responding.

    I have the same issue as BS. I was charged, can't login. I submitted a request, but it has gone unanswered. I wondered if I typoed my email, but regardless, moviepass has not responded despite taking my money while I cannot use my moviepass without signing in.

    Is definitely a fraud suppose to have been two trail and the already charged my account havent been able to work app at all we need to get them shut down

    You people have no patience. A little research will tell you that this is a company that released an unlimited movie feature for very little money, and simply was not prepared for the number of subscribers that were going to be signing up. So no. They aren’t a scam. But yes, they were unprepared and if everyone had a little patience this would all be fixed in a week.

    Moviepass is NOT a scam.  I have enjoyed being a member for over two years now.  They just were not prepared for the huge volume of new subscribers.  The new $9.95 price attracted so much attention that their website crashed.  I am sure they will rectify the situation soon.  Also, of course they charged your card!  Next, they will mail you a Moviepass card.  After receiving your membership card, you should be able to log into the app.  There is a process!  Relax, read the newspaper, and be patient people!

    As i do understand but if company going to have millions of customers need to have a better communication thing going on need a 800 # so people can communicate with them better

    As for my card been charged yes it said i was signing up for a two week trail

    I totally agree I was a previous customer until they gauged my monthly cost, and then you could call and speak to someone and get an answer.....now I have asked a few questions over about 6 e-mails and have not gotten an answer to any of them. Not a good start to giving them a second chance.

    I signed up and within a day my credit card number was stolen; I had not used the card anywhere else.  Emailed them and no response.  Wow what a scam!

    10 bucks will not break the bank and I can understand the volume issue..  but not having an 800# not answering emails not answering the in app chat, combined with the fact they did charge me 10 bucks does feel super shady...  plus its a dumb logistical problem to have, most of us have (apple pay, android pay,samsung pay etc) why not email a temporary coupon? .... result - I feel deceived, I see no place where I can cancel this subscription or get answers....   even though the company is large and has reputation from existing customers, to new like customers like myself it is DEFINATELY A SCAM because in fact MoviePass took our money, did not deliver service, did not send a simple "we are having issues email" and have not responded to emails or any other communication....  great thing about it is that we can call the 800 number on the back of the card we used and let them know we purchased service that was not delivered --- 100% of money spent will be returned 100% of the time and takes less than 5 minutes

    I created a facebook group called movie pass chatter come join us. There are 22 of us now.
